Athah yoganushasanam”, Chapter 1 Verse 1 of the Patanjali YogaSutras

It means: “Now begins the Yoga discipline”

NOW, not later, not tomorrow, not next week...Now, also means that no particular age or qualifications needed to study Yoga, as it is available and needed for everyone starting from birth till nirvana.

Start now, Nurture your child with the solid foundation of discipline, which will stand-in each moment throughout his life. Kids yoga should not be just a relaxing or playing with funny poses, No. It needs to be creative, developmental and scientific. Kids yoga ought to cultivate the values, which make a child, better human being.

Happiness Children Yoga Program is designed for multidimensional development of the child. We help children building strength & stamina, improving flexibility & stretching, enhancing concentration and focus, enjoying relaxation & moderation, respecting parents & nature and much more. This can be achieved by learning and practicing physical exercise (yogasana), breathing techniques (pranayama), concentration (primary meditation techniques), relaxation techniques, mudra and yogic philosophy.

We understand that we are to work with tender souls and hence we teach in a happy, fun-filled, friendly and relaxed environment. Our teaching is always in engaging way with the support of imaginative stories, songs & yoga-inspired games. Our teachers are qualified and well experienced to deliver the commitment. We provide a balance of structure and freedom so that your child can do their personal best.

Through studies, it is evident that yoga can increase emotional regulation, optimize behavior, and improve concentration and focus.  Regular yoga practice promotes strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques will teach kids how to focus, relax and develop tools to self-care and self-control

What are the benefits of doing Yoga?

It Enhances Physical Flexibility: Yoga promotes physical strength where kids learn to use all of their muscles in different ways. Whether a pose is done standing, sitting, or lying down, each one can challenge various muscle groups while helping a child become aware of his body and its functions.

It Refines Balance and Coordination: Balance is a key element of yoga practice. Balancing poses were created to promote mental and physical poise, as mental clarity and stability emerge from the effort of trying the poses. Even if a child has difficulty in balancing, her mind and body starts learning mental and physical balance when she falls and when she gets up to try again and again. As children learn to improve their physical balance, they will be filled with a sense of accomplishment. Balancing postures help children with neuromuscular coordination.

It Develops Focus and Concentration: The regular practicing yoga postures and pranayama improves mental health, concentration and intellect. It clears thought process and improves focusing on the effort. Consequently, children become able to focus and concentrate in school and get better grades, several studies note.

It Boosts Self-Esteem and Confidence  It is our responsibility to develop our children's sense of wonder and to give them a strong sense of self so they know where they belong in this world and can contribute to making their community a better place." Yoga teaches them to persevere, be patient, and work toward their goals. A yoga teacher can only offer guidance; it is the child who has to work to succeed. Therefore, when a child masters a pose, it gives him confidence and self-esteem. Children's yoga is often described as "prehabilitation," a proactive action to ward off instability or sickness; yoga also provides tools for practicing compassion, generosity, mindfulness, strength, flexibility and confidence.

It Strengthens the Mind-Body Connection: Since the modern world moves very, very fast for children, it's not long before they feel all kinds of pressure (personal, parental, social) to keep up with everyone around them. Yoga functions as a release valve that alleviates pressure and as a foundation to nurture and develop a resilient and resourceful body, mind, and spirit.
